Design and operating principle

A battery powered cable cutter consists of a cutting head with blade and counter blade, an electro-hydraulic drive and a rechargeable battery pack. The electric motor drives the hydraulic pump, the ram forces the blade through the cable and completes the cut in a single stroke. The ram then returns automatically and the tool is ready for the next cut.
