Design and operating principle of grip pullers

A grip puller typically consists of a central forcing screw and two or three jaws. The jaws are positioned on the component and then locked in place using a clamping or locking mechanism. Only after the jaws are secured is the screw tightened to generate the pulling force.

The locking feature keeps the jaws in position throughout the pulling operation, reducing the risk of slipping and making the tool well suited for use in confined areas.
