Design and operating principle of self-contained hydraulic pullers

A self-contained hydraulic puller consists of a puller frame with jaws, a hydraulic cylinder and an integral hand pump. When the pump is actuated, hydraulic pressure builds up in the cylinder and generates the pulling force through the ram or forcing screw.
