Low-height telescopic cylinders – large stroke with low profile

Low-height telescopic cylinders are multi-stage hydraulic cylinders that combine a very small closed height with a large total stroke. Several piston stages extend one after another, providing a significantly greater lifting height than conventional cylinders of comparable size.

They are used wherever very limited headroom is available, but a large lifting height is required – for example for structural lifting, raising machines and steel structures, or for installation and alignment tasks.

Low-height telescopic cylinders can be combined with suitable hydraulic pumps and are designed for demanding professional use in industrial, construction and maintenance applications.

How low-height telescopic cylinders work

Low-height telescopic cylinders consist of several piston stages that are nested inside each other. Under hydraulic pressure, the largest stage extends first, followed by the smaller stages until the full stroke is reached. When lowering the load, the stages retract in the opposite order.

Thanks to this telescopic design, a very large total stroke can be achieved with a minimal closed height. This makes low-height telescopic cylinders ideal for applications with limited installation space and high lifting requirements.
